Nelda Hobbs Obituary

Nelda Paschal Hobbs, 79, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2006.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday in Chapel of the Chimes in Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth.

Nelda was born in Rockwall and was a longtime resident of Fort Worth. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1943. She was an executive assistant for Miller Brewing Co. Can Division and retired in 1992. Nelda was a beloved and dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with and making gifts for her family and collecting cookbooks. Nelda will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jeff Siek; son and daughter-in-law, John and Lea Hobbs; grandchildren, Kristin Brooks, Stephanie Melson, George Paul Hobbs, Brandon Crane, Sam Hobbs, Lauren Hobbs and Jennifer Hobbs; four great-grandchildren with a fifth on the way; and brother and sister-in-law, Samuel and Alice Paschal.
