Nicholas, this week was especially hard with the 7-year anniversary of your passing. April 21, 2017 was the worst day of my life.
Two days ago, on April 20, we buried Mamaw next to Papaw. I believe you are all together now, at peace, with no more pain and suffering. I also believe that one day I will be with you all again. That belief and my faith are what sustains me.
For now, my life is here with my loving husband Marty, your "Bubba" Christopher, and his family, Miranda, Lakeston and Merrick; and, of course, your precious daughter, Madeline, my first grandchild and my one and only granddaughter. She reminds me so much of you with her beautiful blue eyes, her contagious smile and laugh, and her big heart and personality
I honestly don't know if I could have survived losing you without them.
I love you so much and will miss you terribly until the day I die.
In the meantime, you will remain in my heart and on my mind with all the precious memories of the time we were blessed to have together

Dear Mom and Pop Willis,
I just found out today through Robert Nordyke that Nick had passed this last April. Oh how I wish I had known as I would have attended the services to honor Nick. I was Nick's Bantam Pee Wee Football Coach and "Bubba's" Chris's football Coach at Richland Middle School when Chris attended there. Nick was a phenomenal athlete, but moreso, a great kid. I am still involved in High School football locally and I often think of former players. Nick Willis is one that always comes to my mind. My son Josh, who is the same age as Nick and played on the Bantam Vikings. I am grieved for all of you and I wish there was something I could do. Just know that my prayers and thoughts are with you.

You are dearly missed, Nicholas, by so many friends and, of course, your family. Your Bubba and Momma, we will never be the same. We will be okay, because we have to be. It's really something I did not ever believe would happen, because God will not put before you more than you can bear. Well, I never thought I could survive losing you or Chris. It is my worst nightmare. I know there is a reason and God has a plan, but the main thing that really keeps me going is Christopher, and my belief that we will all be together in eternity. In the meantime, I look forward to seeing you in my dreams. You are forever in my heart and always on my mind. I love you with every fiber of my being and from deep within my soul. My sweet Nicky, you touched so many in the time you were here with us. You will always be remembered. It did my heart good seeing and talking to everyone yesterday at your memorial service...kids and their parents from the time you were in elementary school. You are missed here so much by so many. I cherish all the precious memories you gave me. I love you so much sweet baby!

Nick, you will always be remembered wherever you are. You were an awesome, cheerful and friendly boy. I'm glad I got to meet you back in 2006 at University Commons (Austin). Those were really fun times!! I'm sure some day we will meet again. For the moment, rest in peace, you will be missed!
