Ola Manning Obituary
Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at Greater Love Chapel Church of God in Christ, 1149 E. Rosedale. Superintendent Jimmy Glenn, pastor, will officiate. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 1 to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Wake: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.
Survivors: Those who remain in God's care are her husband, Lawrence Manning Sr.; children, Lawrence Manning Jr., Deborah Davis, Jessie Manning, Laura Sullivan, Sonya Manning and Vanessa Jennings (Nathan); 22 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

I could never imagine the loss you feel right now ! We have indured a lot over the past years with the Angel of Death;and its still so hard to say goodbye to the love ones we hold so dear to us."But God". I can say hold on to God's unchanging hand and the memories. Family that's what going to get you through the hardtimes (holidays and sleepless nights).Just remember cousins OLA MAE believe in God and trusted in his Word. This was no mistake.Cousin OLA MAE was tired and put her family in Gods hands and went home to be with her Maker(God) and her Heaven family(her daughter,parents, aunts, uncles,cousins and friends).

To the family of Sister Ola Mae Manning me and my husband would like to offer our sincere condolences in Sis. Manning's passing. We never got to meet her, but Mr. Lawrence spoke of her and the family often, and we feel we did know her and knew she was a Saint of God. Mr. Lawrence we will be praying for the strength of you and the rest of the family. We were co-workers with Mr. Lawrence for many years at Standard Meat Company & H&M Food Systems. May God Bless.

Sister Manning(GeGe) will be deeply missed. She was what I call "Sister Friends" with my grandmother. She was a women that I looked forward to seeing when I visited Greater Love Chapel or went out to Como, Texas. I loved her and will greatly miss her beautiful smile and long sincere embraces. I know that Sis. Manning planted the seed of Christ and exemplified Christ in her action so I encourage the family "my family" to trust that God knows best. Since she gave you all the knowledge of Christ the best gift in return to her would be for each of you to give your life to Christ.
