Olivia Fitzgerald Obituary

Olivia Ann Fitzgerald died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, due to a spinal concussion received two years ago in an auto accident near her home in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Memorial service: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home. Private. Memorials: Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation [email protected]. Ann was born Dec. 14, 1944, in Woodward, Okla., daughter of Altha Jane and Robert Earl Davis Sr. She was a graduate of Sophie Newcomb College (Tulane University) in 1968. She received her MFA from University of Houston and MEd from Sam Houston State University and attended the Ecole du Louvre in Paris. During her career, she taught at every level of education from Montessori through college. After her teaching career, she retired to San Miguel de Allende. She continued painting and showing, became accomplished at the tango, had a patio full of flowers, and many friends. Survivors: Sons, Robert Gordon Fitzgerald and Thomas Connor Fitzgerald; brother, Robert Earl Davis Jr.; husband, Edwin Felder Fitzgerald; aunt and uncle, Marylou Enlow and Louis Enlow; cousins, Clair Enlow, Eric and Mark Williams, and Amelia Silvestre, Douglas Williams, Sarah Simpson, Emily Cranmer; and numerous additional family and friends who loved her dearly.
