Patricia Jean "Patti" Wimmer died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, in Austin. Memorial service: 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at Texas Star Golf Course and Conference Center at 1400 Texas Star Parkway, Euless, Texas 76040. Patti was born in Fort Worth on Nov. 6, 1952, to Louise and Charles Johnson. Patti was a vibrant personality who touched the lives of everyone around her. She will be remembered for the purpose with which she nurtured those she loved, her beautiful voice and her ability to light up every room she entered. She was a graduate of Richland High School, class of 1971, and has remained a committed leader and alumni staying connected to most of her childhood friends whom she adored. Patti excelled at everything in life including countless entrepreneurial ventures, remembering to have purpose and lasting effect with all that she pursued. Among her most recent accomplishments was the opening and running of the successful children's store, Finders Keepers for Kids. In doing so, it was possible for her to be with her son and daughter, teaching them life skills and building lasting memories along the way. Although managing the store was her full time commitment in her last years, her true passion as a singer and performer was brought to life with the band that she, her brother Eddie, and her nephew Michael formed called "All in the Family." She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt, "Gammie" and friend and nothing held a more significant place in her heart than her family. Her roles as mother to her son, Jon, and her daughter, Liz, and "Gammie" to granddaughter, Piper, were her most cherished. Through them, her legacy will be honored for years to come. She found her lifelong love in her husband, Greg, who, among many of her admirers, was her biggest fan and who won her heart. Survivors: Her husband, Greg Wimmer; daughter, Liz Alley; son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Kristen McLemore; granddaughter, Piper Olivia; sister, Leslie Brown; and brother, Eddie Johnson.
