Patsy Steen Obituary
Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to UT Southwestern MDA/ALS Medical Center. They give their special thanks to All Star Health Care.
Patsy was born in Snyder and raised in Arlington, where she graduated from Arlington High School. She raised her family grounded in the best of Texas tradition and values. She worked for Xerox Corp. for 20 years in a variety of roles and later concluded her career as a senior logistics planner with Bantec after 15 years of service. Patsy engaged in an owner/operator group of a bed and breakfast in Athens for a time.
Patsy was the coolest mom. She liked to go to different places and even had a short career move that had her living in California. She always enjoyed entertaining and having a good time with her many friends and family. You could usually count her in for a good trip, especially those beach vacations or fun runs to the casino. Patsy's greatest joys were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Juanita Roten. Her love, presence and candor will be missed.
Survivors: Her daughters, Kelly Bentzel and Janis Zimmerman and her husband, Ed Zimmerman; sister, Sharon Roten Jones; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Patsy was such a dear friend, we shared many trips together and enjoyed living in California together. We had many happy days with her family in Athens at the Bed and Breakfast. My thoughts are with the family at this time. She was a special lady. Will always miss her.

Janis and Kelly- and all your children - we are so sorry to hear that Patsy has passed. She will always remain in all our hearts- her wonderful laugh lit up the room everytime we were lucky enough to enjoy her company!! You all are in our thoughts and prayers- love ya!
