Mr. Perrone has been filling prescriptions for myself and my family for 46 years. It was always a thrill to see him as he always went out of his way to call you by your first name, and you treat you as if you were his only customer. He will be truely missed.

I did not know Mr. Perrone, but his daughter Donna was my son Paul's teacher at Westcliff Elementary School. She was a wonderful person and teacher, she really helped my son in his first years of school. Sounds like he was just like his daughter - a very loving and caring person.
I remember reading about her death, she died so young.
My husband died on June 5th. My prayers go out to you and your family in your loss.
My prayers are with you and your family.
May God give you strength to carry on in His will. God Loves You All

We met Mr. Perrone when we moved to Benbrook in 1961 and became one of his many customers and friends. He and the store have been part of our family's life ever since. We have missed his physical presence in the store this year, his employee's represent him well. A generous, caring man, we and our children will always remember him.
We extend our condolences to his family and to his employees.

Mr. Perrone gave me one of my first jobs. I learned so much from him. Especially respect. What a blessing it was to get to know him. I have so many great memories of Perrone Pharmacy. He let us kids eat all the candy we wanted. He would buy us Braums hamburgers too. He was very giving to everyone. I loved going to visit him over the years. I will surley miss that wonderful smile and laugh.
God Bless You,

I had the honor of knowing Mr. Perrone for only a little more than 3 years, but during that time I grew to know and love him as I do my own Grandfathers. He always had a smiling face and a laugh every day I walked into work... even if he may have been a little flustered at the time. Each day at work he was able to make us laugh one way or another.
I had never in my life met anyone like Mr. Perrone and feel certain that I never will again. He will always hold a special place in my heart and I will be forever grateful for all the things he did for me and for all the support he showed me when I needed it the most. His family will be in my prayers.
Thank You, Mr. Perrone, for everything!
Love,
Amanda

Kim, Ken, Austin and Tyler:
Cyndi, Conner, Cameron and I would like to extend our condolences for the loss of your father, Mr. Perrone.
I have such great memories of Perrone and Park pharmacy on Hwy. 80 as I was growing up in west Fort Worth. Not only did we buy our perscriptions there, but we also bought all our school supplies, candy and magazines . . . and you could also approach Mr Perrone to purchase cinnamon oil to soak your toothpicks in! When you earned an "E" in citizenship on your report card, you could take it to Mr. Perrone for a free ice cream (I think I qualified only once or twice)!
I was also impressed with Mr. Perrone's support of Troop 14 at our Boy Scout auctions. He was a very generous individual.
We know how tough this time is for your family, and you know that we speak from experience. But we are confident that the strength of the McLaughlin family will see you through the days ahead. If we can be of any assistance, we are only a phone call away.
God bless.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Paul through my daughter, Karen Bosarge. She knew of my interest in WWII -- particularly concerning the war in Europe and D-Day -- and arranged to get the two of us together. Mr. Paul and I had lunch meetings on two occasions, and I truly felt honored to be able to talk directly to someone who had the experiences he had. I was particularly impressed that Mr. Paul was so matter-of-fact and quietly humorous in our conversations. From my own experiences in combat in Vietnam, I can say without hesitation that Mr. Paul was the type of person that I would want to have in a foxhole with me -- the highest compliment one soldier can give another. More importantly, it was obvious to me that Mr. Paul was just a really good all-around person. I only had those two occasions with him, but he made a positive, lasting impression on me. Mr. Paul was a fine representative of the Great Generation. We won't see his quality of individual around much any more. My condolences are extended to the entire family.

Mr. Perrone was such a kind and generous man. He carried us on his "books" for months at a time when we were young and first married...That was 44 years ago! We couldn't have done it without him. He continued to be a great friend throughout all of these years and will be greataly missed.

Pop was such a lovable human being. I feel so blessed to have known him with his hearty laugh and his exuding generosity. He was an intriguing man with colorful stories of his past. I loved to listen to him talk about his WWII days and of how he met and feel in love with Nana. I will miss him and I wish that there were more people like him in this world.

I remember getting an ice cream from Mr. Perrone when we got good grades. We would try to sneak across the street from Ridglea West Elem. to buy candy and ice cream, hoping not to get caught by Mrs Merrett. He has been my family's pharmacist for 40 years and I will miss him terribly. There is something to be said for such consistancy. I think that is the only business in the neighborhood that has not changed. Except they quit selling ice cream. Mr. Perrone quit selling cigarettes a long time ago and when I tried to quit smoking in the middle of a carton he offered to buy the carton from me to help. I cannot imagine a world without him.

Paul & Family,
Paul was a husband, father, grandfather, friend, and hero. Many of us get to experience being one of the first four, but few of us get to experience being a hero. Paul was a hero to his family, friends, country, customers, employees and all of us in the pharmacy profession. Heaven has a few heroes and you will be welcomed there. May you rest in peace and your memory will live forever.
