Paula Snider Obituary

Paula Sue "Susie" Snider ARLINGTON--Paula Sue "Susie" Snider, 71, passed away Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, after a long, hard-fought struggle with lung and kidney disease. Even after years of pain and discomfort, she never gave up or asked, "Why me?" MEMORIAL SERVICE: 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Susie was born March 25, 1946, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Paul Fry and Andrea Hammons Fry. She was a flight attendant with Braniff Airlines for over 20 years, which allowed her to pursue her passion for snow skiing all over the world. In 1969, she flew "Pac Mac," carrying troops to Southeast Asia, Guam, the Philippines and Okinawa. In 1974, she was selected to participate in a flight attendant exchange and worked with Philippine Airlines. Her exceptional beauty, grooming and outgoing demeanor defined her flying career. Susie and her husband, David, shared and enjoyed 32 years together, living in the immediate area and, for several years, in Reno and Las Vegas, Nev. SURVIVORS: Susie is survived by her husband, David; her aunt, Betty Rich; cousins; nieces; and nephews.
