Pauline Johnston Obituary

Pauline Buie Johnston, 98, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: 4 p.m. Saturday in Highland Cemetery, Stamford. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnston was born Jan. 31, 1915, in Stamford to Robert B. Buie and Cora Link Buie. She was one of six children. She earned a B.S. in business from Texas Tech in 1936. She married James A. Johnston in 1937. They celebrated their 70th anniversary in 2007. She played piano for First United Methodist Church's Couples Class for more than a decade. She was a gracious hostess who enjoyed friends, piano, bridge, her seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She treasured her whole family. Survivors: Children, Bob and Pattie Johnston of Tucson, Ariz., Jean and Art Seifert of Lenexa, Kan., and Janell and Bill Curtis of Fort Worth.
