Hi dad, I´m 23 now. Still miss you as much as the day you left. I´m at Rocky Mountain school of art and design studying interior design and architecture. I´m hoping to get my realtors license this year so that´s cool. I´m married now, haven´t had the wedding yet, but I know you would love him! He´s goofy just like you were. His name is Ken and I find that funny since we always used to play with my Barbie´s together and joked about me marrying someone as perfect as Ken one day. Guess you were right. Mom Ken and I are opening an Airbnb. That´s basically a hotel that we own by renting out an apartment. James is doing great he´s a manager at Walmart, you´d be so proud of him. We all are! I´m sitting on the couch watching cops episodes with ken right now. Just talked to mom and she´s in Rome with Grandmom having the best time. I just really miss you and sometimes feel like talking to you about life isn´t real, so maybe writing it will put it out in the universe and you can see it. Well I miss you and love you, we all do. Wish you were here!

Julie,
I did not have the opportunity to get to know your husband as well as I feel I know you and the kids, however, I am impressed that he was an Eagle Scout, in the Marine Corps and with the Police Department. My heart goes out to you, James and Lauren. Your family is in my prayers and I am anxious to give all of you a big HUG!

To the Barker family, I want to say this, Phil was a good man and good cop. I met him when I applied in Pelican Bay last year. Phil left many good years of service to the residents of Dallas and the Bay. The communities he served thank him. May God give his family and friends peace during this time of loss, and to him a place under God's peaceful wing.
