1952 - 2016

Rebecca "Becky" Ann Wallace Neely, 64, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, with her loving family at her side, ending her courageous battle with cancer. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Ridglea Country Club, 3700 Bernie Anderson Ave., Fort Worth, 76116. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Free to Breathe, a charity that promotes lung cancer awareness and a fight for a cure. Becky was born Jan. 30, 1952, in Natchez, Miss., the second child and daughter of William Perry Wallace and Lava Ette Myers Wallace. She attended school in Carthage, until her family moved to Gainesville, where she graduated from high school. She attended University of Texas at Arlington and Cooke County College while working at Texas Instruments and U-Tote-Em. In 1978, she became a sales representative for Frito Lay and worked there until her retirement earlier this year, setting many regional and national sales records. Becky married Michael Lynn Neely in June of 1981, settling in Fort Worth, where she resided until her passing. Becky approached everything in life with exuberance and a beautiful smile. Above all, her life and love centered on her children, Michael and Katy. She took great pride in them and their accomplishments. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lava Wallace. Survivors: Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Michael Lynn "Mike" Neely; son, Capt. Michael Lynn Neely Jr.; daughter, Kathryn "Katy" Christine Neely Page and her husband, Raleigh Page; sister, Peggy Sue Wallace Capps and her husband, Robert E. Lee "Lee J." Capps Jr.; nephews, Robert E. Lee "Trey" Capps III and his wife, Stephanie, Jonathan Neely and Jason Neely; great-nephew, Robert E. Lee "Ro" Capps IV; as well as a multitude of friends and admirers.
