Richard A. Skipper
June 16, 1941 - July 26, 2022
Fort Worth, Texas - On Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the age of 81, Richard Arlen Skipper went to be with the Lord. He was a much loved husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Independence Chapel at Greenwood. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood.
Richard moved to Texas as a young boy and grew up in Alvarado. There he met his wife, Jackie, and on August 3, 1962 the high school sweethearts married. In 1964 their son, Coy, was born. They moved to Fort Worth in 1967 where in 1981 their other baby came to life, their beloved company, SkiHi Enterprises.
Richard was an avid car enthusiast. He also enjoyed hunting, traveling and being with family. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and quality time with this son. He was a staunch supporter of Cook Children's Hospital.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Skipper and his parents, Aubrey Skipper and Opal (Skipper) Leddy.
Richard is survived by his son, Coy Skipper and wife, Shelli; his grandchildren, Kelsi Skipper, Makenzi Skipper and boyfriend, Kelan Hodges and Brandon Wright and wife, Tia. He had several nieces and nephews and great-nieces he loved dearly.
