I was saddened to hear about Patrick, he was an awesome friend in high school. My thoughts go out to his family. I have fond memories of our days at the 4H barns, learning and riding.

Still not a day goes by that you don't cross my mind along with all the what-if's... I still think of picking up the phone time to time to share a story or a laugh only to end up feeling such a loss. I miss you terribly!

It has taken me this amount of time since Patrick's death to overcome the loss of him and of his family. Patrick and I will always share something we could never explain. I look to see him on the other side. Forever Tabatha

I have so many memories of days spent playing in the neighborhood of Blue Mound with Patrick, but where do you really begin to express how you feel when you find out that a very dear friend has left us? I want to express my deepest sympathy to the Flickinger Family as they have always been special to me. Patrick was always there to give that special smile when I had a down day, always there ready to run around outside (as kids), but more importantly was always a FRIEND you could count on. Patrick, you will be terribly missed, but NEVER forgotten.

Jeanie, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Patrick was a great person and was always ambitious. I remember working with him at Sam's and how much fun he was to be around. Then later I remember hearing about he was doing when you and I worked together. He will definitely be missed. God Bless you and your family during this time of grief.

I don't know what to say. We live our lives day to day and not think about "what if?" I grew up with Patrick. He was a good friend and I was pleased to see he followed his dream of protecting the public. I have only seen a few of my '88 grads over the years..I miss them...time goes by so fast that we don't reflect. Rest in peace Patrick and thank you for protecting me and my family. P.S.-Say hello to Diane and Allen Morris for me. I miss you all.

When I think of my childhood growing up in Blue Mound, the Flickinger family immediately comes to mind. Patrick is just one of those friends that I've always held close to my heart and always kept up with at a distance. It was always fun to run into you Gloria, through the years, and hear of all his accomplishments. I was so proud to know him and call him my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

You were my best friend, but more than that. You were more than a brother too, always watching over and near by. You were the first person in a new school, at 12 years old, that treated me like a person and not like the invisible girl. Who I am today was molded a great deal by our heartaches and time spent together. You taught me to be stronger than I knew I could be (without even knowing it). You taught me to define myself only by who God says I am and not how other's define me. You never even knew you had a hand in it, but I'm grateful. You forced me out of my comfort zone and made me look at myself and move forward. Sixteen years of marraige and five children later and all I can say is "Thank You" ... for the years of happiness, for the pushing forward in character, and yes, even for the heartache! It all played a part in who we became. We said our first good-bye just over 16 years ago and today I'll say our last good-bye. I was heart broken to know it had to happen this way and I cried. I'm confident we'll see each other again someday ... but not yet!

Pat you will be greatly missed. You never turned your back on anyone and always did what ever it took to help. You helped me out more than you know. Whenever you would come over the mcso radio we would all get excited b/c we knew you were coming in to see us. Brodie will be taken care of, you need not to worry. He is doing better today. You will never be forgotten. We love you Pat.

Jeannie and Flick and family, I have not seen any of you in years, but have had a tremendous opportunity to renew friendship with a brand new young man. I have worked with him on many occassions while he had been in Marshall County. At that time I was with the Grayson County Sheriff''s Office, Pat and I had a great time talking over old times in Blue Mound and Saginaw. He was a tremendous asset to the Law Enforcement profession. He believed in what he did and was good at what he believed in. His faith that we talked of many times was outstanding in such a young man. Flick and Jeannie he was something to be proud of and I will never forget the PROFESSIONAL OFFICER that he had become. He will be missed but because of his work someone somewhere will be BLESSED just because they had contact with him. May God Bless you and ease you pain and suffering in this great loss.

I went to school with Patrick, When I think of him I remember laughing alot. What stands out the most in my high school memories is that patrick would actually warn me; Cristal you are going to get in TROUBLE if you do that. Patrick in school was funny, kinda shy, cute and very happy. It was a rare occasion to see Patrick with out a smile on his face. Boswell class of "88" has been planning a twenty year renion. I am saddened Patrick can not attend, but am rejoiced knowing He is with our Lord. I will keep Patrick's family in my prayers . If Patricks family wishes to send me any information I can share at our class reunion. Please do so by e-mail or my phone number 817-236-1922. Patrick will be missed by many friends from his past, and more so by the present.
