Ronald Maly Obituary

Ronald Maly, 79, a medical doctor, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 14, 2013, in Euless. Service: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 27, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton, Neb. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please donate to Catholic Charities. Dr. Maly was born May 30, 1933, in Crofton, Neb., to Joseph and Theresa Guenther Maly. After one year at St. Benedict's College in Kansas, he joined the Army and served his country honorably in the Korean War. He received his M.D. from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., and married Eulalia Anton. He was a medical doctor in Iowa, Texas and Nebraska for 48 years, receiving much satisfaction in caring for people while doing house calls and delivering over 900 babies. In 1987, they moved to the Dallas area where he worked in occupational medicine and eventually retired in Grand Prairie. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Eulalia; parents; brothers, Dr. James Maly and Paul Maly; and sisters, Genevieve Bender and Betty Becker. Survivors: His adopted children, Joseph Maly (Kathy) of Ashburn, Va., Raymond Maly of Texas and Jennifer McNamara (Lee) of Grapevine; four grandchildren; brother, Charles Maly; and sisters, Virginia Lange and Dickie Burbach.
