Rose Bausch Obituary

Rose Nardecchia Bausch, 81, died Monday, June 23, 2008, in Fort Worth.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Interment: Mount Olivet. Visitation: Will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home, with a vigil service at 7 p.m.
Memorials: Her memory may be honored with a gift to the Carmelite Auxiliary, 5801 Mount Carmel Drive, Arlington, Texas 76017.
Rose Nardecchia Bausch was born Sept. 26, 1926, in Del Valle to Benidetto and Sofia Rizzo Nardecchia. Rose attended the University of Texas at Austin before marrying the love of her life and devoted husband, Jim Bausch Sr.
In 1951, the happy couple moved to Fort Worth, where they were members of St. Andrew Catholic Church. She faithfully served in its Altar Society and Bereavement Committee, as well as an officer for the Carmelite Auxiliary for a number of years.
A fantastic cook, she was well known for preparing exquisite Italian dishes, which became instant favorites. For this and many other reasons, "Pretty Lady" will be sorely missed.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane; a grandson, Mason Garrett; and a great-granddaughter, Sofia Rose, all during their infancy.
Survivors: Husband of 58 years, Jim Bausch; sons, Michael Bausch of Dallas and Bob Bausch and his wife, Monica, of Arlington; grandchildren, Mitchell Thompson Bausch, Lisa Herrera and her husband, Auden, Stephanie Bausch and James Michael Bausch III; brothers, Buddy Nardecchia of Georgetown and David Nardecchia of Batesville, Ark.; and sister, Lena Wilson, Scranton, Pa.

DearMr. Bausch, Mike, and Bobby,

This is John Vaughan......Jim Vaughan's son. I have a hundred or more fond memories of Rose and the Bausch family over the years. Spending time with your family over the years was a special part of my childhood. Rose was always so eager to inquire as to how we were doing, our latest accomplishments, etc.. Rose was a wonderful woman in a wonderful family.
God bless you all.

Another great one leaves us behind! My fondest memory is sitting out at the pool with Rose, Shive and Moreen. We would dine on the best potato salad, made by Rose and a bucket of fried chicken. She was a special lady that touched many lives. I'm glad I was lucky enough to be one of them.

Blessed are those that mourn, they will be comforted.
Blessed are those that loved and were loved by Rose, for their lives are better for it.
Her twinkling eyes, her infectious giggle and the warmth of her smile will be sorely missed but she lives on in the hearts of those touched by her love.
Peace to all of you,
Beverly

Dear Mike, Bob, and Family,
Your Mom was the greatest. Like Tom wrote she was always so kind and gracious to let us make all our racket at your home when the band practiced. Sorry to hear of her passing. I'll remember her and your family in my prayers. Love, Neil
