Ruby Carol Crain Alford

Ruby Carol Crain Alford, 68, of Whittier, Calif., and formerly of Alvarado, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014. Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at White Emerson Mortuary in Whittier, Calif. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the building fund at First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 362, Alvarado, Texas 76009. Ruby was born in Pasadena, Calif., to James and Gertrude Crain and graduated from Rosemead High School. She returned to her beloved California in 2013 and greatly enjoyed being back with her mother and siblings. She was a loving wife and a faithful servant of the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Richard; her father; and her brother, James Eugene Crain. Survivors: Ruby is survived by her sons, Michael Alford (Larissa) and David Alford, both of Weatherford; grandson, Ron Sikes; mother, Gertrude Crain of South El Monte, Calif.; brothers, Arnold Crain of Garden Grove, Calif., and Larry Crain (Beverly) of Whittier, Calif.; and many other family members and friends.
