Sally was born Aug. 18, 1939, to William and Frances Marquis in Kalamazoo, Mich. She married Lou Tanos on May 17, 1958. They recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. Her greatest joy was her family. She had five children and 13 grandchildren. One of Sally's greatest talents was her amazing ability to walk into a room and envision a decorator's paradise. She loved to go to all her children's homes and tell her husband, Lou, what projects lay ahead. All her children's homes reflect her style, but more importantly the incredible love she held for each of them as she worked to make their homes something they could be proud of. We're certain that at this very moment she is redecorating heaven, with God's permission, of course. Her children often told her that they learned to be good parents because of the incredible example she set throughout her life. All of her five children have reminded her grandchildren that they, too, will demonstrate their love for their own children some day, and it all started with their grandma and grandpa. As this line of love grows, Sally's incredible legacy will live forever. Sally was preceded in death by her father, Bill and her sister, Patty.
Survivors: Devoted husband, Lou; children, Lori, Teri, Randy, Denise and Aimee and their spouses, Marc, Scott, Dawn, John and Melinda; grandchildren, Sarah, Jaimee, Tara, Jonathan, Nick, Brett, Kelsey, Anthony, Joshua, Nicholas, Joey, Madison and Raeleigh; mother, Frances; sisters, Margie and Connie; and countless other family members and friends.

Gandma I love you so much and I will miss you a lot! I can't wait to get up to heaven and see your pretty face smiling back at me. Don't worry about grandpa, I will make sure that there is not one single solitary day that he gets dressed without someone making sure that he forgot to put his pants on or something like that. Well, I love you sooooo much and I miss you very much. You were my hero in life and even after your passing, you still are. You are the Wind beneath My Wings forever and always.
