Dear Sam,
Thank you for taking such great care of my baby sister, Robyn, all these years. I never saw her so happy or content as she was with you. I appreciate the long discussions about important topics with our children, Clarissa and Benjamin. They will miss their Uncle Sam. And from Bruce and I, you will be missed greatly at all the family gatherings to come.

I continue to be in shock! I've known Sam for most of my life and have so much respect and admiration for him. Saying that I will miss him doesn't begin to describe the loss I feel inside. I will think of him often and remember him as a great friend.
To Robyn, Courtnie and Kelvin, Jessie and Laura and the rest of Sam's family and friends, my thoughts are with all of you. Through Sam, I feel like I know so many of you!!
If there truly is a heaven after earth, then that's where Sam must be watching over all of us until we meet again.

I'm the mom to one of Sam's co-workers, Debbie Taylor, and I didn't know Sam but heard very nice things about him from Debbie. It seems everyone thought so much of him.

Sam would give more than advice, he would give you his help. He labored with me after work for a couple weeks and one time all night. We rode many miles together and you could always count on him to be there. Laughing and smiling.
