Pen & Paper - The Little Sam I Know
- By KCGC, Little Elm, Texas, 8/31/2025
In search of truth,
Lonely on the roads,
Pen & Paper -
Carrying you.
One speaks, and
One listens.
Alone, off you go,
Unite with your source.
Timelessness begins, and
Loneliness, the past.
Rejoice in the Kingdom of
Kings, oceans of glory,
Your presents, and
Present among angels.
A rainbow over the clouds,
Delivering a message,
30,000 feet above,
LGA - DFW, August 15, 2025
Arrived at home ... cigarettes,
Coffee and ice cream served
Limitless

Samuel Gary Gugliotta, M.Ed., an inquisitive yearning soul, forever young, forever chasing the truth! Here are some his favorite quotes.
"WHAT LIES BEHIND US and WHAT LIES BEFORE US are TINY MATTERS COMPARED to WHAT LIES WITHIN US." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
"LIFE, FOR ME, HAS ALWAYS BEEN A SEARCH FOR DISCOVERY, TO KNOW, AND TO GROW." - Samuel G. Gugliotta, 12/19/1974
"LOVE, LIKE THE MOON, ALWAYS RETURNS." - Samuel G. Gugliotta
Born on October 20, 1942, Sam grew up in a small Italian neighborhood in Montclair, New Jersey. He pursued his academic passions at Rutgers University, where he studied Philosophy and Mathematics and achieved ABD (All But Dissertation) status in Mathematics. A dedicated math educator and a lifelong seeker of knowledge, Sam was known for his deep curiosity and philosophical spirit.
Sam spent formative years in New York City and New England, immersing himself in the arts and intellectual circles. He enjoyed reading, writing, drawing, collecting books on philosophy and civilization, playing guitar and harmonica, visiting museums and art shows, and specially engaging in thoughtful conversations with fellow writers and artists. His love for teaching took him across the globe, including positions in the Pacific, China, and South Korea.
A prolific writer and thinker, Sam contributed extensively to the Marianas Variety through his weekly column "Gecko Corner," where he explored themes of philosophy, science, mathematics, religion, and civilization. His words inspired many and left a lasting impact on readers.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and may his words continue to inspire future generations.
