Heartbroken to find out that you passed, Aunt Sherry. I had no idea you were sick-my father never told me. He didn´t tell me you were sick, he didn´t tell me you had passed, and he didn´t think I deserved to know. I´m just now finding out, and I´m hurt and angry with him for keeping that from me. Even though most of my memories with you are from childhood, they´ve stayed with me all this time. I remember your house on Remuda Drive, your dogs-especially Ruger-and that little McDonald´s by the exit on the way to see you. You made me feel safe, welcomed, and loved. That mattered to me then, and it still matters to me now. I´m so sorry I didn´t get to say goodbye. You deserved more than silence-and I deserved the chance to mourn you when it mattered. Rest in peace, Aunt Sherry. You were loved deeply, and you won´t be forgotten.

I worked with Sherry at Blue Haze Elementary. We became friends and enjoyed meeting at Starbucks over coffee. She loved her family and spoke of them fondly. She talked frequently about her grandchildren. She will be missed.

I never knew Sherry as an adult, but she is definitely a part of my childhood memories, as we went K through 12 together. I mostly remember Sherry from elementary school. She was a pretty, sweet, quiet, and very shy little girl who was well liked by her classmates. She was a good student. She was in almost all my classes K through 6. I´m not surprised that she taught special needs children. I´m sure she was loved by her students. My condolences to the family. RIP, Sherry.

I was close friends with Sherry for over 40 years. She always called me her best friend and we had special nicknames for each other. She had a cute sense of humor, and, as has been mentioned, she found great joy and comfort in her dogs and cat. She was a very sweet person and loyal friend whom I I loved and will miss.

I knew Sherry back at TCU in the late `70s/early `80s when she worked in the Computer Center. She was always snappy and upbeat and became the hub for so many staff interactions. What a gal! So sorry she is gone too soon.

Sherry became our daughter-in-law nearly 10 years ago but we've known her even longer. We've been through many of life's ups and down with her. She always had a great sense of humor. We have so many great memories. Family and friends were so important to her. Our son Wally was the love of her life. We were so saddened by her untimely decline in recent years. We will miss you Sherry! God speed!

My sister Mary said it so well. Sherry was just like a sister to us. She and I went thru school together. She was always there for us and we tried to always be there for her. She loved her Starbucks, her Smoothies, her dogs and would never say no to stopping by to see the cows and/or the chickens. Even when she was feeling bad, I would do my best to make her laugh, just to see that smile and hear that laugh. Gone far too soon, she took a piece of me with her and I will miss her forever.

My deepest sympathies to Sherrys family. This is a great loss for many of us. Sherry was a part of my family, as her mom and mine, were best friends. I literally cannot remember a time Sherry was not there for all important occasions. She had great faith and she immersed herself in the things she deeply cared about. She loved her daughter and her husband Wally, who loved and cared for her from the day they met through her struggle with dementia. I remember how Sherry loved her job worked with hearing impaired children. It was a passionate cause for her. She was in love with all her dogs through the years. She was full of that same love for many friends, and I was blessed enough to have her as "an honorary sister." I will always love you, Sher.
