To the Brock family is was sadden to hear of your fathers passing today while at lunch with my mother whom informed me of his sudden passing. I worked with your father part-time at the gaylord while working as a fulltime firefighter. He was always upbeat and in a great mood. Steve always had a positive attitude in and out of work. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

I had worked with Steve a few years back and still kept in touch. What I remember the most is that he was always there for you. It may have been just telling a joke or helping you with work. But he was always willing.

I'll miss you Steve. My prayers go out to the family.

To Brock's Family,

I worked in security with Mr.Brock at the Gaylord. I only knew him for a short while, but I feel so blessed to have met him. I too know what it feels like to lose a parent early on in life and undersatnd your pain. There will not be a day that goes by that you won't miss him or think about him or wish he was here. Especially when you need guidence or have a question or need someone to help you laugh. I wish I could say it gets easier or the pain goes away, but it does't quite happen that way. When you are in need for him just use those memories to get you by. I will always miss my mother, and I will always remember and miss your father. We both have Harleys and we were in the process of planning a ride before he left us. Everytime I ride I will think of him. God bless all of you in your time of need....

There are things in life we can control, and there are things in life that are not in our control. Remember to let go and let God for those things that are not in our control.

To Steve's 3 sons, his granddaughter and his parents,

I can't express the sorrow that I feel. He was a very good friend. We talked and text, he was always happy and upbeat and worried how I was all the time. I loved all his stories about his 3 boys and his granddaughter (he loved all of them so much) and how happy he was when he finally got his "Harley". Steve was such a special person and always cared about others. I know that he is smiling down on all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with ya'll. I will truly miss my friend!

You guys are blessed with so many wonderful memories with your dad. He was not only a dad to you three, but also a best friend. Everytime I saw the three of you, he was there too. He was so proud of all three of his boys. I am so glad that you guys took every oportunity to enjoy your time with him. What a special man. He always had a smile!

Kait, I was your age when I lost my grandparents. I know how hard it is for you. Just remember, there are holes in the floor of Heaven and Pappy is watching over you. He will be with you each and every day. I know how much you will miss him, and yes, he can still hear you when you talk to him in your bed at night.

Jason and I love you all so much, and we are praying for you daily. Please let us know if we can do anything for you, even if it's just a shoulder to cry on.

Here's to Pappy.

Steve was my best friend during our first three years of high school in Hawaii. Our Dads were both in the Air Force so we both moved after junior year; Steve to Texas and me to Missouri. I never saw him after that but my parents still talk about him all the time and I thought about him often over the years. He was a great friend with a wonderful sense of humor.
I'll miss you buddy!

Dear Ryan, Cody, Shelby, Jean and Lee,
My heart is sadden and I'm shocked. He was a wonderful friend to me for many years. I'll miss his laugh, his geniune concern for me (lately) and his uplifting calls and text messages. I will keep all of you in prayer. Ben and Beth also are shocked and all of us wish you peace and comfort knowing that Steve is among angels and in his eternal home waiting for us. I would imagine he is in heaven's rocky mountains that he loved so much. He loved his family, his beautiful grand-daughter and we had fun keeping abreast of each others lives. It will not be the same ...I lost a good friend and I'm going to miss him. Sincerely, Susan Witt
