Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel, Pastor Sam Carmack officiating and vocal music by Nancy Carmack. Entombment: Garden of Memories Mausoleum. Visitation: 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Memorial: The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 13500 Midway Road, Suite 101, Dallas, Texas 75244.
Stephen was born Feb. 7, 1963, in Weatherford. He was a double transplant recipient in October 2001. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Ethelene Howard and Bill and Mary Azlin; uncles, Jimmy Azlin and Don H. Howard; and aunt, Janell Howard.
Survivors: Parents, Bernie and LaVerne Howard of North Richland Hills; brothers, Maurice Howard and wife, Julia, of Bedford and Nathan Howard and wife, Denise, of Purcell, Okla.; sister, Paula Howard of North Richland Hills; nieces, Stacey Mummey and husband, Jeremy, of Brighton, Colo., Candice Lucia and husband, Michael, of Garland, Heather Koepp of Purcell, Okla., Matthew Koepp of Fort Worth, Nick Koepp of Purcell, Okla., and John Howard of Nebraska; and aunts and uncles, Ramona Cribbs, Faye Howard and Charlie Howard, Betty and Bill Shaw and Ken Azlin.
