Steven, I have grieved you often this past year. Haven't known you since 13 years-old, really. However, your personality was so amazing, vibrant, and loving, you really made a mark in my life. I always wanted to reconnect with you, but never could find you. I find out now that several of my friends had you as FB friends. I guess we were never meant to reconnect, just to remember each other and the special times we had for those 2 years/summers we spent together in Arlington, riding roller coasters and water slides. I think grieving you so hard was connected to me grieving my baby as well. Two people gone too soon and who did nothing to deserve it, other than being born into a sinful world.

I do take comfort knowing that you both are in eternity with Jesus now. I hope you know my daughter Eva. I hope you can tell her a little about her Mommy when she was young, about how much fun we had together and about how much we loved each other at such a tender age.

I'll be doing something special for you to commemorate your life this year. Even my living daughter, Hannah, knows about my 'boyfriend who died'. She's happy that she's knows another person in Heaven with Eva. She lists you right along with our grandparents and friends. I guess she can tell how special you are to me when I was telling her about why I was sad when you passed away.

I spent time driving around Arlington remembering all our hang outs. Sounds silly since it was so long ago, but I truly believe God put you in my life to turn me down the right path, to make me see what a good 'man' is like.

Thank you for spending so much time with me when we were young. I'll never forget it. I always think, about you and Eva, you were too good to die, but you were so good, you deserved to meet Jesus early.

We all miss you very much, even those of us who could be seen as such minor bleeps on your radar of life.

I'll forever miss you, my friend, and I'll forever remember the wonderful person you were.

I bet you'll be celebrating your 1st Heavenly Birthday in the biggest way we can imaging here - singing with the Angels, worshiping our Lord, and just being so happy to be there with your loved ones in Heaven. Enjoy the perfect peace and Happiness!

As always, please hug my sweet Eva for me and tell her something new about me.

Love always!
Jessica

Steven was the most inspiring person I have known. I met him the summer I turned 15 at Wet N Wild . We had some exciting times off and on through the years !He was always such a wonderful friend. I last spoke with him in 2010. His faith was so amazing. He had the most amazing heart for Jesus. His love for God and his family was so great! My prayers are with all of his family. I am so sad that he lost his fight with cancer but I know he is in the presence of God. He loved God more than anyone I have ever come into contact with I can not imagine the people that have been saved through his testimony. Steven you will be missed, I loved you dearly and will never forget you! You changed my life with your heart!

Steven, I've always considered you my first love and will always cherish those junior high summer memories at Six Flags and Wet n Wild. You were the greatest boyfriend and showed me love and respect. I'll never forget those times together.

I'm so sorry I never got in touch with you over the years. I would have loved to know you more.

I am happy you found a wonderful wife and had two gorgeous boys. What a wonderful family you've always had. My prayers are with your family, your wife and kids, and all your loved ones.

If my sadness is one small portion of those that have known you for all your 32 years, I know you were very much loved. You will be remembered by me as I share stories of you with those that I know. I will never forget you, I never did forget you. You were always a part of my very cherished childhood memories.

You are loved and missed. Please give my Eva a big hug from her mommy.

Bowen family, Kim, Tyler, and Lance, we are continually praying for you as you grieve the loss of Steven. I will always remember the good times and talks we shared with him. I will also never forget that Steven went out of his way to bring us hamburgers in the hospital the night our first born son was born in 2007. He is missed, but we are thankful that we will see him again because of God’s promises of eternal life in Christ. We are praying for grace, peace, and comfort for you all.

Our love, prayers and deepest sympathy are with each of you as you walk through this most difficult time. We can never understand when such a Godly young man with so much to live for is called home yet we know our Lord is full of grace and mercy and in control.
We praise the Lord that Steven is free from pain and the cares of this world and has completed the journey that we have yet to make. Oh, what a glorious day it will be when that great reunion is a reality.
Our trust is in Jesus and we pray perfect peace for each of you as He brings forth supernatural understanding in the days and weeks ahead.
May our Lord meet each individual need and bring forth His perfect will in each of your lives.
Our prayers will continue.
