Stuart Lang Obituary

Stuart C. "Stu" Lang died peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in Fort Worth, surrounded by family. He was 83. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Genesis United Methodist Church in Fort Worth. Stu was born on July 15, 1929, in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of Ralph and Eva Lang. He married the former Nancy Helen Gestewitz on June 29, 1957. Stu loved his wife and their four sons, all Eagle Boy Scouts, and made them his life's highest priority. He was a charter member of Genesis United Methodist Church in Fort Worth. Survivors: Wife of 55 years, Nancy; four sons, Jeff, Doug, David and Peter; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

I served Boy Scout Troop 46 with Stu for several years. He was a great sponsor for the Troop and changed the lives of many boys for the better. He left a positive imprint many young lives.

Stu and I did 11 years of "Jazz Notes" (big band jazz) at KTCU/FM...also 3 years as "Supers" with the Fort Worth Opera.
So many good times and wonderful laughs...he will be missed.
