It was in February of this year that we saw each other in Kroger and we exchanged updates on our kids. We never know when it will be the last time we see each other, and because of circumstances of my life right now, I did not learn of Sue's passing until today, when I came back to Keller for a week. Bryan, Kevin and I send our condolences to all of you during this difficult experience. May time give you peace in your life.

Rocky and Family,
I was so sorry to hear about Suellyn's passing. I remember high school and the good times we had as Tallwood Acres teenagers. We went to Glenbriar dances, slid down Mayhood Drive on sleds in the winter, and hung out at Stone Lodge Pool. Good times. I will remember her fondly.

In 1983 Ruth, Grant, Brad, and I moved across the street from the best family God ever created. To this day memories of swimming, front yard ball games, sleep overs (Sue thought us that verbage), cookouts, and just the comfort of waves were part of our lives as the Harshbargers and Hawkins became friends. We physically moved in 1987 but our hearts never left...Sue was the anchor of that family and our friendship. Oh to hear once more that special and wonderful voice. Now in the later years of life, Ruth and I along with our kids and grandkids are reminded once again that it is not the roads we travel in life but the people we travel them with. We still love the Harshbargers so much!!!

You guys became a part of our family and we love you. Many of us said that we would be lucky to have someone love us half as much as Rocky loved Sue. Just being able to watch you all showed how much love was shared in that family. I am so glad I was able to spend some time with you all during her last few days here on earth. I will miss that beautiful smile. Rocky, I am praying for you and hope you are doing okay. I wish I could have come to her celebration of life party. I will never forget Sue and all of you.

Rocky,
My family and I knew Sue and her family from the 60's in Tallwood Acres. We had the best times growing up together. The Handley Family will always remember her as one of the "Tallwood Gang" that made growing up so much fun.

Mrs. Harshbarger was my substitute teacher in the 4th grade. I am 30 years old now and have not seen her in nearly 20 years. Yes, that's how memorable she was.
My sincere condolences to all who knew and loved her.

Rocky and family I know the sadness you are dealing with as I lost my wife last year at age of 61. Much to young.
As others have said you two were the ideal couple and you have two beautiful children as a result. Sue was a special woman and you were so blessed to have had her all these years.
My heart goes out to you and your children at this difficult time.
Wishing you the best. Al.

Time passes so quickly. Was it so long ago that Sue and I were working together on the Barboursville Student Council or laughing about a Joe Avis comment in band class? At the reunions, I could always count on a warm smile from her and we would catch up on the years between them. She will be greatly missed. Take care, Rockie.

I am saddened by the news of Suellyn's passing. We were best friends in 5th grade, at Pea Ridge Elementary before I moved. She was one of the kindest and most upbeat, positive, persons I've ever had the privilege of knowing. I have such wonderful memories of our friendship! My condolences to all who were fortunate enough to know and love her!

I am so saddened to learn of Sue's passing. She was one of the most wonderful persons I have ever met in my life. No matter when I saw her, she always had her beautiful smile and kind and gentle words. I remember doing Kara's Wedding invites and putting our heads together to make it all come together after Kara had picked everything out. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. I love you Sue.
