Susan King Obituary

Susan Kay King, 65 passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, due to complications of cardio myopathy and the results of the 2016 Presidential campaign. Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017. Susan was born June 4, 1951, in Longview, and was a young mother to her only child Clay. She spent most of her adult life in Fort Worth where she completed her bachelor's degree at Texas Wesleyan. She had a love of mysteries, garden work, classic rock and caring for pets. She had the gift of gab, was a loyal friend, fierce protector and {ldquo}Granny Susu{rdquo} to her grandchildren. She kept a playfulness and silliness throughout her life, would generate a smile if not a laugh and will be missed. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joanna, when she was two months old; aunt, Mary Frances when she was nine years old; brother, Andrew, stepmother, Marjorie and father, Hugh. Survivors: Son, Clay Chasteen and his wife, Angie; grandchildren, Andrew, Emily and Clayton, brothers, Joe, Steve and wife, Terrie, Alan and Greg and wife, Luz; loving aunt, Mary Alyce Allen; and {ldquo}cousins in crime,{rdquo} Rosemary Thomase and husband, Galen, and Pat Richmond. Cousins and friends reside in Arkansas and various parts of Texas.
