Terry O. "Coach" Scherer
April 28, 1958 - December 24, 2020
Haltom City, Texas - "Coach" Terry O. Scherer went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 24, 2020, at the age of 62.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, at First Baptist Church of Fort Worth. Interment: 2 p.m. Thursday at Santo North Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, in Mount Olivet Chapel.
Terry was loved and known by many for being a coach in Haltom City for more than 25 years where he coached the Bantam Ravens to 10 Super Bowl wins in 20 appearances. He also coached the 8u Rockies, was the President of the Haltom Youth Baseball Organization, and loved to camp and fish.
Coach will be loved and missed by many on and off the field. Once a Raven, Always a Raven.
Loved ones who passed on before him include his father, Robert O. Scherer; brother, Johnny Lynn Harvey; and nephew, Aaron Eckhardt.
He was survived by his mother, Fern Scherer; brother, Mark Scherer; sister, Cindy Eckhardt and her husband, David Eckhardt; sons, Jonathan Scherer, Bryan Scherer and Brandon Scherer; grandkids, Suzan Scherer and Isabella Scherer; and multiple nieces and nephews.
