I am so sorry for your loss. I grew up down the street from Tom. He was younger than my circle of friends so I did not know him that well, however I do know his parents George and Marion. My Dad, Earl, flew with Tom's Dad for years and the entire neighborhood was close knit. We grieve for his family and offer our prayers that you find peace.

Madi, Dawn, Hannah, John, and family, Aunt Jane, Uncle Greg, and our dog Frankie want you to know how sorry we are to here of Tom's passing. Madi, we love you like you are our own "niece", and wish we could be there with you. We're sure having Nichole with you has been a great help. Dawn, I was so exited to have met you when I was at Nikki's Sweet 16 party. While Madi was here with us visiting, she talked so much about you, Hannah, John, and her Dad. Uncle Greg and I felt like we knew all of you and were so moved to hear how close your family is. We are coming to stay with Jean, Jim, and Nichole the first week in August and would love to see you guys and especially meet Hannah and John. God acts in mysterious ways and even though it is so hard to let go of someone you love, I believe he needs another angel. All of you are in our prayers and hearts. Madi, we love you and see you soon. Aunt Jane, Uncle Greg, and Frankie

Tom was a big kid at heart. HE not only loved his girls, but he lovedcoaching softball and working with the kids at church. Recently he came to watch our grandson play ball. We had a nice visit with him. I loved to tease him about going to the ballet. He would laugh and tell me HUSH!We are sad that we will no longer see him on earth. Thinking of all of you.

I met tom when I was 12 years old when he was my all-star coach for a rec softball team and he took me under his wing because I didn't have a dad in my life at the time and I guess tom saw that and he took to that and treated me like I was sort of one of his own. I remember we went to softball nationals and tom and I went around trading these collectable softball pins with all the other teams names on them and we stayed up there until the last game was finished and then we came back the next day to play in the tournament and even though we didn't win or even place that was the most fun I had had in awhile. Another time we were waiting for a softball game to start and there was a garage sale across the street from the ball park and I dragged him over there and I convinced him to buy this hideous hat wig thing and wear it. It was like a witch hat with purple and green hair and he wore it while coach the entire softball game. I will never forget that... He also bought me a jewlery box for a quarter that I still have to this day at that garage sale and it will always remind me of him. He will always have a special place in my heart and will never be forgotten.

Hannah and Maddie: your dad was an amazing man and he will always be remembered.

Hannah and Maddie, when I met your dad coaching he used to make me laugh so much. We had become such good friends. He talked about ya'll all the time and about how proud he was of you. I will miss him because he was such a good friend. I will remember the funny times like the time he tried to open a jar of pickles at the ball tournament and broke his tooth off and we kidded with him about it forever. I knew he took one of you girls to the ballet and we hung the nickname twinkletoes on him and I know Madison that you loved horses and you got to come out once and ride our horse and go swimming and I'm glad I got to meet you girls. Your dad was very proud of both of you and he loved you very much. Thank you for sharing him with me and my kids and letting us have joy in our life.

I am so deeply saddened to hear of Tom's passing. I grew up next door to Tom and there were times when he and I were as close as brothers. We used to spend hours daydreaming about great wilderness adventures. We finally went on one when our parents let us backpack into the Grand Canyon. Tom had just turned 16 and I had just turned 14. What were our parents thinking when they watched us board a plane to Phoenix and then let us drive a rental car to the south rim of the canyon? Well, they knew they could trust us, and they especially knew they could trust Tom. I have so many fantastic memories of that trip and the great fun we had together. He was a great person and I am blessed to have had him as a friend. I can truly say that I am a better person because of Tom.

I know that no words can soften the sadness and loss, but I hope it gives you some comfort to know that he is now in the loving arms of our Lord.

I will see you at the service on Saturday. My love and my prayers go out to all.

I was so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. We became friends when he lived in his grandmothers home several years ago. He always wanted to be helpful and was really a good neighbor.

Dear Marion, George, Fran and all the Midgley family,
Glenn and I were shocked and saddened to read of Tom's death in the Star-Telegram. I remember Tom first as a student at St. Vincent's. He was very personable and all the "girls" liked him!
Please accept our deepest sympathy and know that are prayers are for your comfort during this difficult time. If you have any need that we can meet, you have only to let us know. May your memories serve as some comfort at this time.
Our love,

I am saddened to hear of Tom's passing away. I greatly enjoyed Tom's fellowship, humor and laughter whenever we assisted with the Burleson High School Band or Hughes Middle School Band. There were two things that I always knew when I was with Tom, that he loved the Lord and his children. Whenever I was in his presence, I could always tell that his children were the apple of his eye and he loved them deeply by the way he spoke of them. My prayers are with you, his family, at this time of grief. May the Lord bless you and comfort you.

We are very sad to learn of Tom's death. Tom was only 14 years old when we began to know him through the youth group at St Vincent
Episcopal Church. We liked him immediately and enjoyed his humor and 14 year old mild mischief. We extend our deepest heartfelt sympathy to Marion and George at the loss of their good boy, to Tom's children at the loss of their good father, to Dawn at the loss of her dear friend, and to the grandson at the loss of his grandfather. May God's love protect your hearts and preserve your spirits as you suffer the loss of Tom.
