Thomas Reagan Obituary

Thomas William "Tommy" Reagan, 89, of Cleburne, a retired real estate broker, passed away Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, in Glen Rose.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday in Rosser Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Kevin Bentley officiating. Interment: A graveside military tribute will precede his burial in Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne. Family visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Rosser Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of donations to Johnson County Meals on Wheels, 106 E. Kilpatrick, Cleburne, Texas 76031, or American Hospice, 3124 SE Loop 820, Fort Worth, Texas 76140.
Tommy was born Dec. 26, 1918, near Eulogy in Bosque County to Desaix Eugene Reagan and Maudie Lee Brown Reagan. A decorated World War II veteran, Tommy served as a master sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps in Europe. He was a driver for Cleburne-based Central Texas Bus Lines for 11 years. He married Denzal Jean Hanna of Godley on Aug. 22, 1946. In 1953, they moved to Bosque County, where they owned, operated and developed the Indian Lodge fishing camp on Lake Whitney. During the late 1960s and 1970s, Tommy was a successful real estate broker, specializing in farm and ranch sales. Widowed in 1983, Tommy married Beverly Jane King in Cleburne in 1985. They enjoyed 18 years of marriage until Beverly’s death on New Year’s Day 2003.
Tommy was an avid fisherman and hunter well into his 80s and a champion 42 player.
In addition to his wives, Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Buford, Burnice, Joe Bob and Harvey D. Reagan; sisters, Willa Dean French, Nell Anderson, Pauline Blackstock and Maudie Lee Reagan; and his great-granddaughter, Ashley Rux.
Survivors: Left to cherish his memory are a daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Melvin Robinson of Granbury; sons and their wives, Curry and Brenda Reagan and Lyle and Debbie Reagan, all of Cleburne; grandchildren, Eric Robinson and wife, Kim, of Granbury, Jennifer Rux and husband, Robby, of Fort Worth, Ryan Reagan and wife, Sarah, of Cleburne and Field Reagan of Cleburne; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Robinson of Granbury, and Jaxson Reagan of Cleburne; stepdaughters, Janet Dickson of Fort Worth and Ginny Cates and husband, Randy, of Weatherford; stepsons and their wives, Doug and Mary Tallent of Missoula, Mont., and Richard and Emelita Tallent of Fort Worth; stepgrandchildren, Ryan Dickson, Megan Pennington and John Pennington, all of Austin, Katie Dickson of New York City, N.Y., Lindsay Fuller of Weatherford, Abigail Tallent of Fort Worth and Clara Tallent of Missoula, Mont.; sister, Imogene Upchurch of Cleburne; and a host of other relatives and friends.
