Velma was a dear friend. I will miss her very much. Always cheerful, always alert, she was
special in so many ways.

Velma touched many lives in all her ministry. I knew her first in 1948 when we were in the Louisville seminary community together and we stayed in contact for all the years since then. We have her legacy for the ages.
