Vera Lee Falk

Vera Lee Falk, 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 27, 2017. Service: The family will have a memorial gathering at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, at graveside at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 21. Committal service follows at 11 a.m. Monday, May 22. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Vera's name to the National Parkinson Foundation by visiting:www.parkinson.org/donate. Vera was a good mom, and led a full and productive life. She began working at age 18 and retired 70 years later at the age of 88. Her career started as a switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell in Springfield, Mo. where she worked on roller skates. Her career included setting up phone systems for H-E-B Hospital. She was an excellent cook and made the best fried eggs, biscuits and gravy, and liver and onions. She was loved and will be missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Fredrick Helmuth Falk, and her son, Patrick Falk. Survivors: Vera is survived by her children, Patty Sooter and Chester Falk; grandchildren, Brett Sooter and wife, LaDonna, Brian Sooter and wife, Susie; great-grandchildren, Brantley Sooter and wife, Kara, Brett Sooter Jr., Brittany Sooter, Bradey Sooter, Brennan Sooter, Tatum B.
