The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to all those who have helped, supported and loved the family during this difficult time, especially the Fort Worth Fire Department.

Karen,

We went to Southwest High together; I recognized your name and wanted to let you know how sorry I am for the loss of your dad. I lost my dad in 2001, dads are very special people and very hard to say good bye to. But over time the sadness is replaced with wonderful memories.

God Bless you and your family.

I, and my family - Sara, Towns and Rocco, were so saddened to hear of Vince's passing. During the years that we fought, and won over, various tax folks, Vince not only became a great friend but he also turned us into baseball fans. I will miss our occasional visits a lot. He was a great person - a giant of loyalty and respect and it was an honor to work and play with him. Our sympathies to the family on your loss.

I did not know Vince personally, however my sister,Martha Williams, and I met him and we went to Harris Cardiac Rehab at he same time for several years. He was so devoted to exercise and a true gentleman. My sister is on oxygen and he constantly encouraged her and seem to know what to say to make us glad to know him. We respected him and his daughter, Karen, who had that special look in her eyes, when she spoke of him. No greater honor for a father .We respected him so much and enjoyed our time and will miss him forever.

Dear Family,

I only spoke to Mr. Genovese one time. I was listed as a reference for Carlene Dailey to become a part of his company. I realized after speaking to this man, he was a man full of life, love, and committed to surrounding himself with wonderful people. Carlene and Karol, and family, I know you will miss him, however, he will always be with you, as he is bigger than life and lived life to its fullest. Death will not get him down, but sends him into life everlasting. A man that did as much as he did for people surely is in heaven as he created heaven for so many people. I wish I could have known him personally. Kay Fite Chappell

Working with and watching Mr. Vince Genovese taught me so many things about life. Who will carry on that "Torch of Tough" now that he has passed this Earth???....I think he was the last of a dying breed of real salt-of-the-earth men. Mr. G will always hold a special place in my heart. He was one of a kind. He taught me loyalty, toughness, and a work ethic---rare traits in today's business world. I worked as his assistant during the time he sold his PowrFlite business and into his retirement years. There are so many things I will remember about him for the rest of my life, and when I think of him, I will always smile. I am so glad I had the opportunity one day this past summer to tell him how much he meant to me, and how the things he taught me helped mold and shape the person I am today. I feel very lucky and blessed to have had that moment with him. He was such a giving person. I will miss you Mr. G. Saying THANK YOU will never be enough. Your friend, Carlene Dailey

"Uncle Vince" was a very dear family friend. He would take my cousins and me to Ranger games and other great events when we were younger. I am very thankful my sons were able to spend time with him this year so we can share our fond memories of such a remarkable and generous person.
