Wanda Williamson Obituary

Wanda Couch Williamson, 84, of Covington died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, in Denton.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Friday in the Old Southland Cemetery in Grand Prairie with the Rev. Gifford Long officiating. Visitation: 10 a.m. Friday in Baker Chapel of First United Methodist Church of Grand Prairie.
Mrs. Williamson was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Grand Prairie, to Ira and Helen Swadley Couch. She graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1942 and married Chester Williams on June 1, 1947. She later moved from Grand Prairie to Burleson, then on to Covington in order to fulfill her lifelong dream of raising Arabian horses.
Survivors: Husband, Chester Williamson of Covington; daughter, Anne Thomas of Galveston; daughter, Beckie Williamson of Little Elm; and grandson, Joshua Thomas of Houston.
