Wayne Clowers Obituary
November 11, 1943 - July 22, 2024
Haltom City, Texas - H. Wayne Clowers was born on November 11th, 1943 in Bedford, Texas to Cecil and Ida Mae Clowers. Wayne received his high school diploma from L.D. Bell High School, his Bachelor's from Arlington State College, and a masters degree from NTSU. On June 17th, 1966, he married the love of his life, Penny Fulk. Wayne was a dedicated math teacher, having taught for 40 years. He taught at Carter Riverside High School from 1976 to 2003. Wayne had a passion for wood working, volunteering, and attending his church, Riverside Advent Christian Church.
Wayne passed away in Haltom City, on July 22nd, 2024.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Ida; sisters Dorthea Brisbon, Frances Knight, and Joyce Courtney; brothers Cecil Clowers, Jr., Wilburn Clowers, and Jimmy Dale Clowers; and several nieces and nephews.
He is survived and will be remembered by his wife Penny Clowers of Haltom City, TX; his sister, Judy Smith of Richardson, TX; his sister-in-law Joyce Clowers of Haltom City TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial gifts be made to the Northeast Emergency Distribution, 5028 Broadway Haltom City, TX 76117.
Wayne's services will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, TX 76034. Visitation will be on July 31st from 5-7. His funeral will be held the next day, August 1st, at 11 a.m. and he will be laid to rest following the service.
