Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Fitzhugh was born in Tolar, Hood County, and had lived in Fort Worth most of his life. He served in the United States Air Force for 16 years as a jet engine mechanic and continued working in the aircraft field until his retirement in 1983. He was formerly associated with the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Moose Lodge #1100.
Survivors: Wife, Helen Davis Fitzhugh; children, Rodney, Randy, Michael and Jill Fitzhugh; stepsons, Robert and Terry Cottrell; sister, Rose M. Ray; and 20 grandchildren.
