William Matheus Obituary

William E. Matheus, 99, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment: 2 p.m. in Peoria Cemetery in Peoria. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Biggers Funeral Home. William was born Jan. 2, 1914, in Gurden, Ark., one of 10 children. He had lived in White Settlement for over 70 years and retired from General Dynamics on Dec. 30, 1973, after 27 years of employment. He was preceded in death by two wives, Allie E. Matheus and Helen Witkowski; sons, Curtis Edward Matheus and Bobby Dean Matheus; and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors: Daughter, Shirley Anderson and husband, Bill, of Azle; brother, Winston Matheus of Lake Worth; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
