Arlington, Texas - William Douglas "Doug" Wilson, 61, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in Arlington, Texas.
Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 1, at Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, at Oaklawn Cemetery, Decatur. Visitation: 9-10 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Doug was born on November 20, 1959 in Fort Worth, Texas to William L. Wilson and Ilena May Gilreath Wilson. He was a devoted husband, Dad, and "Boss" to his two grand children. He retired as a funeral director and embalmer. Doug was a former assistant manager for Moore Funeral Home in Arlington. He had previously worked at Brown Gause-Ware Owens Brumley in Fort Worth and Coker Funeral Home in Decatur.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Nancy Soderstrom.
Survivors: Wife of 28 years, Catherine Daly Wilson; sons, David Wright and wife, Jamie Wright; and William Michael Wilson; daughter, Kira Wilson; and grandchildren, Harper and Jaxon.

R. I. P. Doug. Doug and I have been friends since 1979 unfortunately I found out to late to make it to the funeral. We had a lot of good times together and i will miss him but as a Christ follower i know I will see him again someday.
