Adele Ferber

FERBER Adele (Wasserman) Ferber, Columbus, OH (formerly of Allentown, PA), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on November 25, 2009. She was born May 2, 1917, in New York, NY, and received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from New York University. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years Jack Ferber, her brother Lt. Gerald Wasserman, and her parents Samuel and Mollie Wasserman. She is survived by son, James (Gail) Ferber of Columbus; daughter, Peggy Lynn Ferber, of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Scott (Amy) Ferber of Atlanta, Alyson (Cris) Abramson of Bethesda, MD, and Julie (Daniel) Zuckerman of Chicago; and great-grandchildren, William and Zachary Abramson, and Andrew and Caroline Zuckerman. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 27, 2009 at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, NY. Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, November 30 at CREEKSIDE AT THE VILLAGE, 2200 Welcome Place, Columbus. Shiva will be observed on Sunday, November 29 and Monday, November 30 at the home of Jim and Gail Ferber in Bexley.
