Alexander Boros, age 90, Friday October 19,2018. South High graduate and a very proud Veteran of the U.S. Army and Navy as well as a WWII Veteran. Alex recently took part in the Honor Flight for Veterans to Washington D.C. Longtime member of The Hungarian Reformed Church. Part owner of Columbus Asphalt Paving, from where he retired. Alex was a resident of Mayfair Village, where he so proudly called home and dearly loved all of the residents and staff. Preceded in death by his wife Claudia Judith Boros; siblings Elizabeth, Joann, Anna, Margaret, Andy and Pete. Survived by daughter Judy (Robert) Morris; son Steve Boros; granddaughters Holly, Lauren and Emily; grandsons Benjamin and Daniel; great-grandchildren Eliana, Tammie, Klara and Tony; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St., where services will be held 10am Wednesday10/24. Burial will follow at Alton Cemetery, Prairie Township. Pastor Jim Herr officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warriors Foundation. I knew Alex from when I was a Columbus Police Officer. I worked special duty for him on paving jobs. One of the finest man I've ever met. A good man, father and husband. A proud South Ender just as I am! RIP Alex.

The residents at Mayfair Village sends our condolence to the Boros family. Alex was a great friend to all of us who reside here and it was a pleasure to call him our friend. He was always pleasant and smiling. We will always miss him. Prayers for God's grace and comfort.
