Publisher/editor Amos Lynch is a fond memory to many of us who worked for him at the Call and Post Newspaper and later the Columbus Post. He helped to forge our writing careers, and we grew to love him dearly for being tough and difficult to satisfy as he wanted more and more until it was the best you could do. What a great man and mentor.

Mr. Amos Lynch was a giant of journalism, a crusader for civil rights and social justice, and simply a gentleman. It was a privilege to have known and worked for Mr. Lynch. He was the Godfather of Black Media and he will never be replaced.
God has called a good man home. Go in peace, Mr. Lynch.
