Amos Muncy Obituary

MUNCY Amos Muncy, age 69, was carried by loving arms of Angels to Heaven on January 4, 2011. Born in Martin County, Kentucky on December 24, 1942 to the late Lucien Muncy and Laura (Murphy) Muncy Stepp. Amos was also preceded in death by four sisters Dorothy Pinson, Geneva Pinson, Christine Evans, and Connie Skaggs. He was preceded in death by one brother Ray Stepp and his step-father Ola Stepp. Amos was a veteran of the US Army having served 16 years. He was an employee of the Cardington-Lincoln School District. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Brenda Muncy. Amos is also survived by three daughters, Amy Hood, Debbie Wippel, and Etta Tuttle. Also surviving one son, Clarence Muncy. He is survived by sisters, Minnie Slaughter, Sylvia Tolliver, Reba Rathburn, Ruth Moore, and Darlene LeVan. Surviving bothers are, Glen Muncy, Lonnie Muncy, Ola Stepp Jr., Herbert Stepp, James Stepp, Donnie Stepp, and Chris Stepp. Amos was the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren, Marc, Mathew, Megan, Briana, Courtney, Ricky, LaEtta, Melinda; and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call at GOMPF FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, January 6 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 7 at 11 a.m. Reverend Jimmy Thompson will officiate and burial will follow in Glendale Union Cemetery in Cardington, Ohio.
