MICHEL Andrew William Michel, age 87, Saturday, May 3, 2008, St. Ann's Hospital. Retired from USAF and DSCC. Staff Sergeant USAF serving in World War II, Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. Lifetime member and Past Senior Post Commander of Joseph M. Collins Post #6239 VFW, Alexander, NY. Member Whitehall Post #490 American Legion. Past member Scioto Post #604 American Legion, and Air Force Sergeant Association. Preceded in death by wife Betty L. Michel, daughter Marcy Gunther, mother-in-law and father-in-law Richard and Dorothy Gee of Vinton, Ohio, friend Niles Ingersoll of Attica, NY. Survived by grandchildren, Christopher (Chris Reveal) Gunther of Westerville and Laura (Brannon) Littleton of Gallipolis; sister, Margaret Miller; friends, Marge Ingersoll, Jo and Lloyd Cornell of Whitehall, Louise Myers of Gahanna. Friends may call Friday 6–8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.–12Noon, EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., where service will be held Saturday 12Noon. Rev. P.K. Fowler officiating. Mike was a good friend to my grandparents. My grandmother loved him. I grew up across the street. We always made sure that he was invited to holidays, he was part of our family. He will be missed very much by all the knew him and cared about him. I wish I would have visited more often.
