Ping Pong, many of you may not have known Tony by his earlier nickname from the Milo Grogan Boys Club. I knew Tony and admired his athleticism since the early 1950s. He was a great friend and athlete; his pool shooting was rather exceptional as well. We use to shoot pool together on Mt. Vernon Ave.
For the nonbelievers, Tony, in my opinion was one of the best basketball players ever to grace the hardwoods in Columbus. I am glad that he was inducted into the Greater Columbus Legends Basketball Association several years ago. I count him as a life-long friend.
He was a friend that i knew well.
God bless you Tony; we miss you.
