Armin Mayer Obituary

MAYER Armin K. Mayer, 85, passed away Monday, April 14, 2008. He was a winter resident of Sunrise, FL and summer resident of Westerville, OH. Retired Communications Engineer with Bell Systems and U.S. Army Veteran of WW II. He was a proud and active Shriner for over fifty-five years. Survived by his wife, Betty Fitzsimmons Mayer; children, Bruce A. (Linda), Gary F. (Marlene), Diane Polovitch (John), Jim Fitzsimmons; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his late wife Betty D. Mayer. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 17 from 5-8 p.m. at FRED HUNTER'S HOLLYWOOD MEMORIAL HOME, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, Fl 33024. There will be a Shriners ceremony held at 7 p.m. Thursday evening. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 18 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Shriners Hospitals For Children (www.shrinershq.org) in memory of Armin K. Mayer. On line condolences may be offered at www.fredhunters.com.
