Benson Owens Obituary

OWENS Benson L. Owens, 52, of Kirkersville, passed away at OSU Medical Center on June 11, 2005. Born to the late Ellis and Lora (Randolph) Owens on January 9, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio. Survived by wife, Diana (Grover) Owens of Kirkersville; children, Dana (Joe) Culp of Hilliard, Dixie Hinkle of Logan; step-sons James R. (Terri) Shirkey of Covington, Tenn. and Adam (Stacie) Shirkey of New Lexington, Oh.; brothers, Greg (Peggy) Owens and Wayne Owens; sister, Karen Fulk; six grandchildren, Cody, Charles, Kristina, Tiffany, Caleb and Gavin; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at KAUBER-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, Pataskala on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 from 2-3 p.m. Memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Rd., Dublin, Oh. 43017. Words cannot express how sorry I am that Ben passed. He was a wonderful, fun loving man who also made me smile and laugh. All I can say is that he has served his purpose on this earth as God wanted. May you keep the faith that you will see him again. God bless you and your family.
