OATES Betty Rhine Oates, age 89, Tuesday, December 27, 2005, Wesley Glen. Veteran U. S. Navy, WWII. Member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church, Clintonville Woman's Club. Preceded in death by husband Robert Oates and son John C. Oates. Survived by daughters, Patti (Bob) Oates-Ulrich of East Lansing, MI, Betsy (Roger) Pollard of Gilbert, AZ; daughter-in-law, Laura Oates of Carrollton, TX; grandchildren, Julia and Lisa Oates-Ulrich, Zach Pollard, Tyler and Derrick Oates; nieces, Connie Roth, and Kay Dahlquist; nephews, Philip (LaVerne) Engelhardt, and John (Janell) Engelhardt. Memorial Service Thursday, 2 p.m. at Wesley Glen Retirement Community, Auditorium, 5155 N. High St., where family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. Rev. Joel Baer officiating.
