Betty Jane Roberts

ROBERTS Betty Jane Roberts, age 75, of Columbus, died Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at Columbus Alzheimers Care Center. Betty was born June 18, 1932. She was married to William A. Roberts, August 13, 1948, and they shared 50 years together. Bill preceded her in death on August 16, 1998. Volunteerism was an important part of Betty's life. She received her Nursing Assistant Certificate in 1975 from Kanawha County Schools, Charleston, West Virginia. She was recognized by Doctors West Hospital in Columbus for her many hours of voluntary services. She is survived by daughters, Shirley (Larry) McGlone of Hilliard, OH. and Diane (Joseph) Watson of Kalkaska, Michigan; sons, William D. (Rose) Roberts of Canal Winchester, OH. and Phillip (Teresa) Roberts of Grove City, OH.; sister, Mary (Gordon) Winchell of Stanton, CA.; brother-in-law, Jack Roberts of Desert Shores, CA.; sisters-in-law, Joann (Lynn) Chrismer of Circleville, OH. and Ruth Bruce of Westerville, OH.; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St. from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2007. Cremation and burial will take place at a later date.
