My favorite memory of Betty is the time she spoke at our United Methodist Women's meeting on quilting. Betty had made some of the most beautiful quilts I had ever seen. She was a quiet servant of God, And I will miss her. She loved her family. At RUMC, she and Merv were inseparable. She was kind, helpful, and never too busy to listen. God has a new Angel.

Dear Skiles Family: we are deeply sorry for your loss. Mrs Skiles (Betty) was a tremendous comfort to our mother when Tim and dad (Paul) died. She never forgot to write mom on their anniversaries and that was such a blessing for mom. Those were the acts of Kindness that she held in her heart here on this earth and will surely lead her to an eternal reward with God. You were blessed with a remarkably kind and loving matriarch. May she rest in peace now.
