Brandon McPherson-Seagraves Obituary

McPherson-Seagraves Brandon McPherson-Seagraves, age 15, a beautiful, special spirit who could relate to everyone, and who truly inspired so many people, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014 at his residence. He attended Briggs High School. Member New Horizons UMC. Brandon loved sports, animals, music, volunteering in his community, and above all, he was a true soldier for God. Preceded in death by biological father Craig, great grandmother Ida Feen, uncle Ralph, many other family members as well. Survived by mother, Amy Bowe; other parent, Ida Marie Seagraves, as Brandon would say "My Dad."; step mom, Renee Stepp; sister, Brittney Bowe; step sister, Tabitha Blankenship; two half brothers; grandparents, Nancy Seagraves, Johnny Bowe, Clyde (Rita) Seagraves and Donna (Brian) McDonald; his lady, Paige Wilson; special aunts, Aunt Amanda, Aunt Shell, Aunt Mandy and Aunt Shannon (Antwaun); special uncles, Uncle Jimmy, Uncle Shane and Uncle Brad; numerous other family and friends. Also special thanks to his extended church family with New Horizons United Methodist Church. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 2693 W. Broad St., Friday 2-5 p.m. with service to follow at 5 p.m. on Friday. Rev. Eugene Brundige, Rev. Julia Nielsen and Rev. Danny Dahl officiating.

I sure do miss that bright beautiful smile. Those big warm hugs and the words Aunt Jenny. Nothing will ever be the same. I still hold on to our last memory together at Walmart that smile and that amazing hug that was ever so tight.

Dear McPherson-Seagraves Family: We, the parents in Compassionate Friends send you our heartfelt condolences, we know that you are heartbroken by this terrible loss. Compassionate Friends is an international grief support group for parents, grandparents and siblings who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child. In Columbus, we meet monthly to support each other in our grief and love of our children. Our meetings are from 7-9 PM on the second Tuesday of each month at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Rd, Columbus, OH 43229.
