Our family just learned of Brenda´s passing, we are so saddened by this news. Brenda took amazing care of our daughter, Jordyn, when she was a patient at NCH. Brenda was quick to smile, hug, encourage, empower, and highlight the good in each day, no matter how difficult the day was. We truly loved her and felt loved in each interaction with her. Our hearts go out to her family and we thank you for sharing Brenda with so many families.

Though I was a fellow NCH employee, I got to know Brenda better when our children (her son, Jacob, and my daughter, Rachel) swam together on the YMCA CHY swim team. I would cross paths with her occasionally in the halls at NCH and always loved seeing her smiling face and catching up with her. I extend my sincere sympathies to her family. Please know that her legacy will live on at NCH in the hearts of her patients and colleagues.

Brenda was a pioneer in the Lactation Program and Wound Ostomy Program. Her expertise was a gift to many patients and NCH.
Blessings to her family.

I first met Brenda and her mother at nursing school. We then worked together at 2TSB at Children´s. Saddened to hear this news about such a good person and dedicated nurse. She touched the lives of many during her career at the hospital. May the promise of eternal life give her mother and family comfort.

My heartfelt sympathy to Brenda's family. May your memories help you through this difficult time.
She was an amazing person and an outstanding nurse. I worked with her for 21 years at Children's until my retirement in 2011, and I never once saw her lose her smile!! She would make you feel as if your patient was her top priority. And, more often than not, she would talk about her family, her glass work, or her garden while helping solve the problem at hand with your patient.
The World has lost a warm, loving, talented, and remarkable human being, and she will be missed by many.

Brenda cared for my son Derick for all of his 22 years at Nationwide Children's and no matter the challenge he threw at her, she always faced it with a smile on her face. Brenda was never discouraged or frustrated when things didn't work she just laughed it off and tried something new and innovative till we got it right. She made us laugh when I wanted to cry and made a hard day just a little bit better. There will never be another one like her and we will miss her sunny smile and spirit. God bless your family. You are all in our prayers and heart. She will be missed for sure.

I worked with Brenda for fifteen years.... She was one of the most knowledgeable, caring individuals I was blessed to meet. You're all in my prayers.
